While every animal at the shelter is available for adoption to the right home, some are more challenging to place and could potentially never find a home. To help these "special-needs animals" and to also support all of our animals until they find their forever homes, we've created the  AWS Sponsor-A-Pet Program .

By making a  one-time gift or a recurring donation  of $20 or more, donors can contribute to the care of these pets until they find the right adopter or family. While one-time donations are appreciated, recurring gifts provide consistent support, showing year-round care and concern for our furry friends. Your monthly contributions will ensure that your chosen pet receives ongoing care for as long as they need it. 

As a Sponsor-A-Pet Contributor, your name will be displayed under your chosen pet's photo for the length of your sponsorship (1-month, 3-months, etc.) Once your chosen pet is adopted, if your sponsorship is still active, you can select another pet to complete your sponsorship.
