Kendrick is a 9 month old 50 pound neutered male Terrier mix. His pervious owner did not have the time or resources to care for an active puppy so he was signed over. Kendrick is a smart boy that will need potty training, obedience training and socializing with other dogs and the world to become a well rounded pitty mix.
He's a cuddly good boy looking for love and a home. Kendrick chases cats and will need a cat free life.

Charity is a very intelligent Border Collie/Jack Russel mix. She is about 4yrs old and weighs about 20lbs.
Charity enjoys being outside playing ball, she enjoys walks and also enjoys down time after some exercise. She can be leery of new people but warms up once comfortable. Charity has lots of Border Collie quirks, she will herd you if not paying attention to her.....she LOVES to play.
The most suitable home for Charity is one without children, cats and she would like to be the only dog in the home. A home with Border Collie or Jack Russel experience preferred.

Stardust is a 3 year old, spayed female Poodle/Shih Tzu mix. She takes a bit to warm up to new people but with patience and a few treats she will be your friend (doesn't take long). She likes dogs her size, she is very uncomfortable around dogs bigger than her. A home without cats is most suitable, she is aggressive towards cats and will chase them.
Stardust walks great on leash, but will need basic obedience training.

This gentle senior fellow came to us when his elderly owner passed away unexpectedly. Loki is about 10 yrs old & weighs 130lbs.
He was with his owner since he was a 10 wk old puppy so you can imagine this is a huge adjustment for him. He is gentle for his size, walks well on a leash.
Due to vet recommendations Loki will not be altered due to his age. He is up date on vaccines, and microchipped. He does get along with some other dogs. If you'd like to open your home to this gentle giant so he can live out his senior years in the comfort of a nice home please contact us.

Adam's a 2 yr old Rottweiler mix who wiggles and plays, sits like a gentleman, and goes everywhere with a plushy cheese! Although he LOVES everyone he knows - as you might expect, he's wary of strangers and it takes him longer to warm-up to men.

Rip a 4 year old, Malinois/Belgian Shepherd mix. He is a big boy at 90-lbs. Rip is very intelligent and eager to please. He is very food motivated. He knows many basic commands, including sit, touch, down, paw and is working on roll over. He is also crate trained. Rip enjoys going on long walks with staff and volunteers. Rip's walking ability has received glowing reviews, as our dog walkers have told us he is one of the most enjoyable dogs to walk.
The ideal home for Rip is one without cats, dogs are ok, but he can be selective.

Sweet Summer is a 16 week old spayed female. She is a greyhound/borzoi/malamute mix, making her a big girl with lots of energy. Sweet, but very shy, Butter Pecan is a 45 lb five-year-old spayed lab mix who was flown up from Puerto Rico around two years ago. Building trust with Butters is a slow, but rewarding process. During her time at the shelter, she's grown more and more comfortable with our volunteers and staff to the point where she's begun to accept affection and gets excited when she notices us arrive, so we're confident that while it will be a long process of working with her, she has the capacity to be a very loving dog.

Atlas is a 5 year old, neutered Fox Hound mix. He weighs about 65-lbs.
Atlas is a loving hound! He very much enjoys human interaction. Long walks is one of his favorite pass times, along with snoozing in a cozy bed or couch. He doesn't mind the company of another dog as long as they aren't too pushy with play, a dog that can match his energy would be most suitable.

Gideon is a 6 year old neutered male who was found as a local stray. Friendly, energetic, and sweet, Gideon is a fun dog who enjoys going on walks and romping around in the yard. He loves a good blanket and sometimes scares the staff by snuggling so deep into a comforter that we don't realize he's there! Gideon has a food allergy and will need to be on a strictly fish-based diet, but he's not picky with his food and has been more than happy with the adjustment. He could live with a dog-savvy cat and is selective about other dogs, so he may do best with a canine companion content to leave him alone.

Daisy is a 7-year old, 10-lb Maltese. Daisy as sweet as she looks has aggression issues with new people, dogs and cats. Once she is comfortable with you she absolutely adores you. Daisy also has kidney disease which is being treated with diet and supplements.
Daisy enjoys going on walks and interacting with FAMILIAR staff and volunteers. Daisy will need potty training.
We know Daisy is a hard placement due to bite history so we are very understanding that she may be here long term. We are looking for sponsors to help with cost of her care. If an adopter comes along who is very understanding of her behavior and willing to come spend time with Daisy prior to adoption we will consider that.
