Dear Friend of Animal Welfare Society, 

While Connecticut continues to navigate the ongoing shelter crisis across the state, Animal Welfare Society, Inc. (AWS) is committed to doing our part by focusing on helping with local needs. We continue to work closely with regional and state animal control officers by assisting with abuse and neglect cases. We also receive multiple calls each day from residents in our region who need to relinquish their pets for a variety of reasons. We are doing everything we can to help as many pets as possible, and we need your help. The pets that have been relinquished to AWS, along with the ones found abandoned or as strays, are requiring more medical care than what is typically needed. Will you help us provide the best care possible for these pets until we find loving homes for them?  

With Give Local just one week away, we're counting on your support. Your donation will provide everything from warm beds to essential medicine, giving homeless pets the comfort and care they need to thrive.  The Connecticut Community Foundation’s Give Local Online Giving Campaign takes place from 7:00am on Tuesday, April 21st through 7:00pm on Wednesday, April 22nd, providing the perfect opportunity to make a secure, tax-deductible donation. The first $17,000 in donations will be matched, and all donations will be boosted with local bonus funds.
