About GIVE LOCAL + AWS
We cannot overstate the importance the Annual Give Local Fundraiser plays in making Animal Welfare Society's cat and dog rescues possible. In particular, the funds donated to AWS during the campaign directly assist in the special medical treatment and veterinary care required for our animals due to prior neglect and homelessness. These costs are traditionally enormous. Our regular operating budget simply would not allow us to extend such care for these animals without your kind and generous support.
Give Local 2023 offers the opportunity to have your donations multiply through enhanced and matching fund gifting. All you need to do is click on the red donation button and make your donation. You can watch how your AWS Donations grow on the CCF/Give Local leaderboard.

About CCF & Give Local
Q. What is Give Local Greater Waterbury and Litchfield Hills?
For 36 hours on April 25-26, Connecticut Community Foundation will host Give Local Greater Waterbury and Litchfield Hills for the eleventh consecutive year. It’s an online occasion. Thousands of donors will contribute to hundreds of participating local nonprofit organizations at www.GiveLocalCCF.org. Since its creation in 2013, Give Local has raised more than $13 million thanks to generous donors, area businesses and organizations united in giving to make our communities in Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills stronger. Thanks to presenting sponsor Ion Bank Foundation for its generosity and commitment!
Beginning at 7 a.m., April 25 and ending at 7 p.m., April 26, donors will make secure contributions at www.GiveLocalCCF.org to their favorite participating local nonprofit organizations. The minimum donation is $10 and there is no maximum. New this year, bonus funds from the Foundation and Give Local sponsors are available and will be added to each participating nonprofit based on the number of donors the organization secures during the campaign. Nonprofit organizations will also compete for cash prizes, adding to the excitement and fun!
Anyone can donate. Donations through the Give Local online platform to charitable nonprofit organizations are tax-deductible. Contributions of $10 or more may be made via credit or debit card. Gifts of $100 or more can be given from bank accounts via ACH transfer.
Go to the AWS page on www.GiveLocalCCF.org anytime between 7 a.m., Tuesday, April 25 and 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 26. Use your credit or debit card (Mastercard, Discover, Visa or American Express) or bank account to make a gift of $10 or more.
Donations are tax deductible. Once you make a donation, you will immediately receive an email from the Connecticut Community Foundation confirming your tax-deductible gift. Please save the email for your records for tax purposes. If you need another copy of your receipt, feel free to use the little blue chat bubble on the bottom right hand corner for assistance.
We would like to thank, in advance, all benefactors, friends, business owners and sponsors that contribute to the 2023 AWS Give Local Campaign! Your generous gifts allow us to continue the crucial work of the Animal Welfare Society Shelter within our community.
You make happy beginnings possible!
As always, we extend our sincere and heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the
