ADAM

is a 2-year old, Rottweiler mix, he is neutered and up to date on vaccines.

Adam is a playful and affectionate dog with much energy. He has a charming personality that really shines when he plays with his toys (he likes the squeak). However he can be frightened of loud noised and is leery of men. A calm home that is willing to let him open up in his own time would be best, and a home with children over the age of 10yrs old is recommended for Adam.

He would do best in a home without cats, and will need basic obedience training as well as leash work.

PERCY

This tornado of floppy ears and freckly feet is Percy! A two-year-old neutered male hound mix that came to us from West Virginia. He was found as a stray, so his past is a mystery to us, but we think he spent most of his time outdoors on his own. Currently Percy is underweight, at around 46 pounds, and is working on gaining some much-needed pounds.

Percy is quite a nervous dog, but he's trying his best to become more outgoing, and is starting to open up to our staff and volunteers. The world of being cared for is still very new to him, once you get him outside though? Percy takes on a more confident disposition and loves to romp around and go on walks. Everything outside is still scary to him, but he finds it easier to be brave outside in nature. Percy greatly enjoys the company of another dog and is even more confident with a friend. A home with another dog would help him come out of his shell very nicely. Percy will need basic training and house manners.

MINNIE & PRI

are two sweet girls that came to us via owner surrender. They are nervous at first, but once they gain some confidence, they are incredibly loving.

Minnie is the chihuahua and is the more outgoing of the two. She is overweight, and an owner that is committed to helping her achieve a healthier lifestyle would be best.

Pri (Poodle mix) takes a longer to come around but will climb right into your lap and love on you as soon as she's won over. The girls are more comfortable and confident with each other, so a home with room for two is best.

If you have some patience, and a love for little dogs, these are the perfect girls for you! Both girls are spayed and about 5 years old. Minnie has had her cherry eye repaired since this picture was taken.

IRIS

If you were to ask Iris who does her eyebrows – she would simply tell you they're all natural! Her distinct markings make her into one pretty picture that's for sure! This expressive girl is three years old and came up to us from West Virginia, where she was found as a stray. Iris is a hound mix and she is fully up to date with her vaccines and is spayed. She is okay with cats and could use some leash work and basic obedience training. Iris is curious and intelligent, though her confidence in life could use some work. She likes to be pet all over and once she gets going is a fun and bouncy dog.

Iris is very loving with staff, but insecure and nervous when presented with strangers, especially men, so slow steady socialization is a must. A calm patient home with a family that is willing to give her the time to open up and show her true colors would suit Iris wonderfully.

SCRUFFS

A laid back old man ready for his retirement home, that's Scruffs! He is a kind old soul at seven years old, with lots of love to give. Generally easy going, Scruffs is an all around good dog who loves company and attention. Quite curious, Scruffs likes to sniff around and nose his way into things, to learn all he can about his surroundings.

Scruffs is 45 pounds and has a lovely wiry coat, which compliments his sweet brown eyes and gray face well. He is a (neutered) male terrier mix, and is up to date with his vaccines. Scruffs is loved by all he meets, loves all he meets and would fit right into any home.
