AWS ADOPTABLE DOGS

CHARLOTTE

came to us from the south with her brother Beaux. She is a Hound mix of about 8 months and is very wary of people in general, with other dogs however she is playful, mischievous and as full of life as a puppy should be. With an understanding family and a confident "brother" or "sister" this lovely girl will surely blossom into a well-adjusted adult.

CHOLEY

is a Lab mix whose owner could not take care of him.  He is a large boy and at only 7 months probably has some more growing to do. He knows his basic commands and is a strong young man who is looking for a confident owner preferably with experience with large breeds.

BANDIT

is a 2 year old Bloodhound and is a large young man at over 100 lbs. A good natured boy and rather boisterous, he is very strong and needs a strong owner who can manage him and is capable of training him to be a well-mannered and nice dog to be around. Otherwise he is just a big and friendly goofball.

LOKI

is a sweet mixed breed puppy from the South.  He can be a bit nervous on first meeting but really just wants to make friends.  Only about 7 months old he is looking for a home where his owners will help him to build up his self-confidence and social skills.

TANSY

was born at the Shelter about 4 years ago and came back recently as her move to a condo didn't go well. A little Terrier mix she is typical of her breed - always on the go with boundless energy, easily excited, inquisitive and interested in everything. She is a friendly and happy little girl but does find kennel life frustrating and she would really love to be adopted soon, an active all adult home where someone is around a lot would suit her best.

BLUFORD

is a very sweet-natured southern Hound mix, he is quiet and well-behaved and gets along with everyone.  He's active and enjoys long walks then is happy to settle down for some love and attention.  Not being a big fan of cats he would like a home without them.

COOKIE

is a Setter mix whose owners had a change of circumstances and, much to her dismay, she ended up at the Shelter. She is settling in slowly and making friends with the staff. She is hoping for an adult home where she can live life to the full again.

SCAMPER

is a little mix breed puppy from the South whose foster mother almost couldn't give him up as she loved him so much. A real sweetheart, loving and friendly, active and playful, a proper little scamp. Like any puppy he will need to learn his manners and an obedience class or two would do wonders for him. He loves other dogs but plays very roughly and his brother or sister has to be capable of putting him in his place.

is a young Southern mix, initially he can be a bit wary of strangers but really he is a friendly guy who enjoys hiking, playing with his toys and/or other dogs.

KRINGLE

is a large Terrier mix who was picked up by Animal Control. A really nice, friendly boy who gets on well with people and other dogs. An active and boisterous young man of about 6 years, he could still benefit from a couple of obedience classes to smooth out some rough edges.

ZOEY'S

owner could no longer care for her and had to bring her to the Shelter. She is a 4 year old Husky/Pomeranian cross and is a well-behaved and intelligent dog. Sweet natured and playful this energetic girl would love to go home with a family who enjoy the active life.
