MEGHAN

was running loose with her best friend Harry and they ended up here.  She is a Podengo (a Portuguese hunting dog) and is between 6 and 8 years old who is as sweet natured as could be. An active young lady who loves to be out playing and running, she gets on well with dogs and would love a family to call her own.

IROH

s a beautiful German Shepherd who started life in Europe, he came to us from Arkansas and what a sorry state the poor dog was in, at about 45 lbs he was stick thin.  After a thorough check-up it has been established that he has a Vitamin B12 deficiency.  He has just started having B12 injections which he will need for life (only 1 a month), he appears to have put on a bit of weight and hopefully, with careful diet monitoring of his diet, this trend will continue.  He is a lovely boy who deserves a better life than he has previously had, a home of his own will work wonders for him.

MARBLE

is a little 8 year old Schnoodle who is lively and playful and full of the joys of life. Whilst he is a great little guy he does have a bit of an attitude and will definitely need work to correct some of his flaws. He needs owners who will not put up with bad behavior but set him some boundaries and make sure he sticks to them.

HARRY

was on the loose and came to the Shelter with Meghan. He is a Podengo which is a Portuguese hunting dog and is between 6 and 8 years old. Harry is very sweet natured and loving but is a bit of a shy and skittish boy who so badly wants to make friends, he gains confidence from his best mate Meghan so a home with another dog would be good. He is an active young man who loves to be out playing and running and is hoping for a family to call his own.

VIRGINIA

is an 11 year-old Miniature Schnauzer who came to us with her "sister" Esmeralda when their owner became unable to look after them.  She is a lively and friendly little girl who loves to be outside running and playing.  Although she can be a bit wary on first meeting she soon gets over it.  A new home of her own would be fine or she can be adopted with Esmeralda.

JAZZY

is our special needs girl from West Virginia where she probably lived an outside life struggling to survive.  She arrived here in a bad way with four puppies in tow, that was in November and her health issues are presently under control.  Now that she is feeling (and looking) much better she is beginning to enjoy the best life she has ever had - so far.

SHELDON AND ROMAN

are two six year old Beagle brothers who have been through a lot together, from being surrendered to a high kill shelter in Ohio, being rescued and coming up to Connecticut.  Nothing much seems to faze these boys, they are sweet natured, easy going and happy.  They love to be outside, tails wagging in unison, exploring and taking in everything that's going on.  Sheldon has had to have an eye removed due to glaucoma and considers himself well rid of it - too painful.  They are looking for their forever home where they can be loved and cared for.
