QUEEN CHARLOTTE
is a 7 year old, spayed female, Tree Walker Coon Hound, She came to us from the Sherman house fire.
We are assuming she was used for breeding and also as a hunting dog, and now its time for her to retire from that life.
She is a true hound who can be vocal at times. Charlotte doesn't seek out attention, but thoroughly enjoys it when given attention and love, possibly something she didn't get on a regular basis so she is thankful for any love and kindness she may get.
Queen Charlotte is food motivated, a very inquisitive dog.
She has a high prey drive so no small animal or cats for this gal.
This sweet girl will need leash work, & obedience training. She still likes to be active so a family that will take her on long walks or hikes would be ideal.
She also rides well in the car – she falls asleep.

To help him feel more comfortable with his new family, we are looking for a home with another dog. Mike needs a cat free home because he likes to chase them. He will need some socialization and obedience training. Mike walks well on a leash.

RIP WHEELER
is a special boy who needs a special home.
Rip is a Belgian Malinois mix who was found roaming the streets, doing as he pleased. This hunk weighs in at a whopping 70 pounds (of muscle)! Rip came into the shelter and found himself overwhelmed with all of the commotion that a busy day brings, causing many distractions with his training.
Because of this, Rip took a “vacation” to focus on himself at Empire State K9 services, where he was professionally trained. Rip put in the hard work and came back a changed man! This boy THRIVES with consistency, structure and stability. For Rip to continue his success, he will need an active owner who is dedicated to continuing Rip’s personal journey to becoming the best version of himself that we all know he can be.
Empire State K9 has offered to work with Rip’s adopter to enable continued success and to aid in a smooth transition to “home life”, something that Rip has not been fortunate enough to have…yet!
Although Rip likes other dogs, not all other dogs like him, as his play style is very rough and rowdy. In order for Rip to get the attention and time he needs, he will need to be the only animal in the house. Due to his size, strength and doofiness, Rip will not be placed with children.
Rip qualifies for Pets for Patriots.

OLOF
Wiggles and kisses and jumps, oh my!
Olof is a happy puppy who came in with his littermates and mother from Puerto Rico. At 5 months old, neutered and ready for a home, he's eager to learn how to be a good boy. Right now, he expresses exuberance in all circumstances - but it's important to learn "four paws on the ground", sit, and how to walk politely on a leash. He's so excited by everything. He is sure to make an energetic household full of joy, once he's taught basic commands.
If you want to be unconditionally adored, make an appointment to meet Olof - discover his cute markings (2 ovals on his face and 2 circles by his tushy) - and see if you can't help falling in love.
