WE DEPEND ON YOUR ANIMAL SPONSOR DONATIONS.

The next best thing to adopting a shelter cat or dog is sponsoring one!

Every Sponsor Donation, however large or small, helps us maintain the quality of care that AWS animals deserve and depend on while they wait for their forever homes. Your Sponsor Donations are used to provide the food and necessities that our animals require for a healthy and comfortable life while at the Shelter. You can designate a particular animal that you want to sponsor on the PayPal Payment Page or by contacting the AWS Shelter after your donation has been processed. AWS Sponsor Donations are tax-deductable. To make your Sponsor Donation, click on the buttons below.

EBONY

is a sweet girl who is beginning to show her true personality. She is very affectionate and likes to play and explore.

VADER

has chosen the Dark Side... if, by Dark Side, you mean any shadowy hiding spot she can find. This nine-year-old black cat is under-socialized with people and is uncomfortable being approached or handled. Due to infections, she had to have all of her teeth removed. Although she is healthier and more comfortable now, she finds her lack of teeth disturbing, making her behavior insecure and guarded.

Vader may never be a cat who wants to be pet or cuddled, but she would appreciate a safe, quiet home without young children or dogs, where she can settle in and relax with a full belly.

SPONSOR ME!

MEREDITH GREY

is a domestic short hair spayed female. At about 7-years old, she finds herself starting over looking that forever home. During her stay at AWS she has received all her vaccines a dental cleaning and been dewormed. Meredith is a bit independent but enjoys attention when she deems it so. She's okay with cats like minded and don't pester her.

SHYAMALAN

is a 7-year old spayed female black cat who was brought to us after she was found as a stray. She is shy with people and is unlikely to approach if you come to meet our cats, so you might not notice her at first. When she starts to trust you, she enjoys being pet, and she might purr softly or even come ask for more if you stop too soon. We're calling it now: we think her big plot twist is that she will be a sweet, loving companion once she finds her forever home (don't tell her we posted spoilers, though).

SPONSOR ME!

LORI

is a 5-year old spayed female. Lori loves attention and affection on her terms of course. She doesn't mind other cats but she doesn't go out of her way to make friends either. Lori is the kind of cat that will come out of her shell and blossom once she gets out of the shelter environment.

STELLA

s a five-year-old, gray and white cat who was found as a stray. She does not seem used to being around people and is quite shy with those she does not know. She perpetually looks like she's a little annoyed that you just woke her up from a deep sleep, but she says you can make it all up to her with a bowl of food.

SPONSOR ME!

FUJI

is a male tabby who was brought to us when his previous owner could no longer care for him. He is a loving boy who wants lots of affection. He can usually be found on the highest available perch, keeping an eye on everything going on around him. Fuji has lived with other cats and gets along well with them.

DR. QUINN

is a four year old calico cat, who was found as a pregnant stray in need of a safe place to raise her kittens. Now that her babies have found families of their own, Dr. Quinn is looking for an adult home where she can be the only pet. Having spent time fending for herself, she is an independent lady who can learn to appreciate human companionship, as long as it is on her own terms.

SPONSOR ME!

CHARLOTTE

is a one year old female orange tabby who was brought to us from West Virginia. She is a sweet girl who is energetic and loves to play with toys. Charlotte can be a little shy with new people. She is nervous about being picked up but does accept being pet gently, and we think she will come out of her shell even more once she settles into her new home. She would prefer to be the only cat in the house.
